Cincinnati at Chicago

The Chicago White Sox looked like a promising young team in 2021 as they made the playoffs and including the playoff games won 95 games. Expectations grew, but disappointment prevailed and last season the Sox lost 101 games. They are off to a horrific start in 2024 as they are 2-10 through 12 games. The offense has been woefully bad as they have scored two or fewer runs in eight of their 12 games, and three of those were shutouts. The Reds are 6-6 on the season, but the offense has produced four or more runs in eight games, so the White Sox are going to have pressure to score which has been a chore all season. Chris Flexen gets the ball for the Sox, but his only start vs. the Reds was a complete disater as he left the game sporting a 13.49 ERA. I don't see the Sox breaking out in this game, and I will back Cincinnati.
