Cincinnati at Arizona

The long road trip continues for the Reds, 2,000 miles from home, the third game of an eight-game road trip. And it's been a lousy trip, riding a three-game skid, giving up 20 runs the last three games. Yesterday was a crusher, losing 4-3 while blowing a 3-2 ninth inning lead. Cincinnati is a .500 road team, and had just four hits yesterday.  The Reds are 2-7 in their last nine road games vs. a team with a winning record. First-place Arizona continues to overachieve under hard driving manager Kirk Gibson, winning four in a row. This offense is 13th in runs scored and OBP, plus ninth in team batting average in baseball. Starter Randall Delgado has nine strikeouts in nine innings and no walks, impressive control for a 23-year old. The Diamondbacks are 7-2 in their last nine home games vs. a team with a winning record, and 2-5 as an underdog. Play the Diamondbacks.
