The Chicago White Sox were ripping hot and had won 14 of 15 before dropping three of their last four. The Rangers ripped off an equally impressive 14 of 15 of their own, but there is one difference here. The Rangers are dominating at home, hot or not, with a 28-12 mark. They have run off an 8-1 mark in their last nine played here, but that just begins to tell the story. The offense has been hotter than the Texas weather in July, and those nine games have seen the Rangers rip the opponent to a composite score of 77-27, or outscoring them 8.6 to 3. That is a remarkable 5.6 runs per game! The Sox aren't as good as their 14-1 run, and neither are the Rangers, but the Rangers are the better team, and until someone shuts them down or even comes close here in Texas, I have to ride them. Texas gets the call.
