Chicago has lost eight of 10, including the past three games, and the White Sox are in danger of being swept by the Rangers, who won 11-1 on Wednesday and Corey Seager hit a two-run homer in his first at-bat coming off the injured list. Chicago has scored only one run its past three games while being outscored 18-1. Max Scherzer will make his first start for his new team and he allowed one run on six hits in seven innings against Washington on Friday when he was still with the Mets. Scherzer is not having one of his best seasons, but he still is 9-4 with a 1.19 WHIP. Touki Toussaint is 0-2 with a 5.14 ERA on the road allowing 12 runs in 21 innings. Thw White Sox are 28-50 versus right-handed starters and Texas has won four of five meetings with Chicago this season. The Rangers have won nine of their past 11 at home.
