Chicago at Texas

The Texas Rangers made a lot of moves in the off-season and continue to do so. They have acquired Max Scherzer, and the message to the players is we want to win now. Texas should be in an ornery mood to open this series. The Rangers were swept in San Diego to end an ugly six-game road trip where they went 1-5. They are now just a half-game ahead of Houston in the AL West. The Rangers are a different team at home, scoring an average of 6.2 runs per game, and they are 7-2 here in their last nine at Globe Life Field. The young White Sox thought they had turned the corner, but this team has taken a step back and is just 43-64 on the season. I like Texas in this one.
