Many might be wondering why Jamie Shields is opening the playoffs for Tampa Bay. He has been good at home for the Rays, where they are 14-3 in his 17 home starts where he also carries a 2.59 ERA, with opponents hitting .234 against him. He has also done his best work overall since the All-Star break where he is 7-2 with a 3.21 ERA. The White Sox have a bad offense on the road (4.2 runs per game) and have been an UNDER team all season against the AL East where they are 21-7 to the UNDER on the season, and 5-2-1 in Vasquez' last eight road starts against a winning team. Vasquez has also been good at shutting down teams after a good offensive performance of five runs or more, where he has pitched 21-10-1 to the UNDER in his last 32. Finally these teams have gone 21-5 to the UNDER the last 26 times they have met in Tampa Bay. I will back the UNDER here.
