Chicago is 8-20 in Santiago's last 28 starts dating to last season. Pittsburgh loves interleague play as it is 17-5 its last 22 games vs. AL teams and 10-1 its last 11 interleague home games versus left-handed starters. The Pirates are only one game out of first place in the NL Central and playing surprisingly well this year, and Jameson Taillon has had only two bad outings out of eight appearances this season.
