The Pirates have lost seven in a row. We faded them in several of those and as the MLB streaks kick into high gear, we'll fade them again here. They really can't be playing much worse having given up 7.5 runs per game over that stretch and getting swept by the lowly Royals. Now they get the pleasure of facing the World Champion White Sox. Speaking of streaks, Chicago has won nine of ten games. They dropped their last game by one run but still put up 9 runs facing Roy Oswalt. In fact, against Houston's great pitching staff, the Sox scored 22 runs in the three games. Mark Buehrle takes the mound with his 3.27 ERA. He lasts 7 innings per start (7.7 over his past three) while his counterpart Ian Snell lasts just 5.6 and has a 4.84 ERA. Let's take hot vs. cold here to hand Pittsburgh it's twelfth straight loss which would set a new franchise record.
