Chicago at Minnesota

The Minnesota Twins have been in a good news/bad news situation over their last four games. The Twinkies have gotten some great pitching in the four game slide, as they have allowed a grand total of 9 runs. While they did have a one game implosion vs. Detroit, allowing 12 runs, they have surrounded that debacle by allowing just 11 runs in the seven surrounding games (four after, and three prior). The bad news is that the offense has plated just 5 runs in the last four games. The White Sox scored well in their two games vs. the Giants, but in their previous 20 games they scored 3 or fewer in 13 of them. Over their last 11 games the Sox are just 4-7, and have simply not swung the bats well. They will get a look at the best pitching prospect in the Twins' organization in Yohan Pino. Pino delivered a 9-1 record in AAA with a 1.92 ERA. Jose Quintana has not been sharp in his last two outings, opening the door for a struggling Twins offense to improve upon the 5 runs they have managed in their last four games. Chicago's 29-62 road ledger in their last 91 invokes no confidence for this one. Quintana is 20-5-2 to the UNDER in his last 27 starts vs. a losing team. And overall Chicago has been an UNDER machine vs. a losing team with the UNDER hitting the perfecto at 7-0 in their last seven against one. The Twins are equal to the task with their own perfecto at 7-0 to the UNDER when following a loss in their last seven. Finally, the Twins are 19-5-2 to the UNDER in their last 27 vs. a starter with a WHIP of greater than 1.30. Minnesota and the UNDER get the call in this one.
