The Twins have long excelled at developing solid pitching from within, and have been competitive in doing so. They fell short the last two years, losing at least 95 games. They have come back as an improved team this season and enter just five shy of the .500 mark, but have managed to play .500 baseball at home. The White Sox have slipped 10 games under .500, and have been a woeful 2-13 on the road in their last 15. Chris Sale has been a top-of-the-rotation pitcher for the Pale Hose, but on the road as a favorite he has failed to deliver, leaving the Sox at 1-6 in their last seven. The Twins take control in anticipated low-scoring games at 6-1 in their last seven to a total of 7 to 8.5. Minnesota gets the call.
