Chicago bounced back from Friday's loss with a 10-7 victory over the Royals as Yasmani Grandal went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs for the White Sox, who have won six of their past eight. Kansas City has lost five of its past six games and is only two games ahead of last-place Minnesota in the AL Central. Dylan Cease is 11-6 with a 3.82 ERA, and Chicago has won five of his past seven starts, including 13-1 over the Cubs last Sunday when he allowed one run on four hits in six innings. Cease had a great month of August, going 4-0 with a 2.83 ERA and a .176 opponent batting average. In four appearances against the Royals this season, Cease has given up just three earned runs in 22 1/3 innings. The Royals are 44-104 their past 148 games in the third game of a series.
