The Royals were the top team in baseball last year against left-hand pitching. They faced Clayton Richard just once, but they had to leave some doubt as he came away from that game allowing career highs of nine runs, and 11 hits in a 14-3 whitewashing at the hands of the Royals. Brian Bannister has positioned the Royals to win each time out. He has made six starts with the Royals coming away with the win in five of them. Bannister is pitching to a 2.79 ERA for the season, and the Royals have already dealt the Pale Hose four losses in five games this season. The White Sox are not springing too many surprises on the road where they are just 14-39 as a road dog in their last 53 games, including 1-5 with Richards on the hill. The Royals are doing a great job holding serve as a home favorite, where they have been 20-8 in their last 28 as home chalk. I’m going with the Royals in this one.
