Chicago got a 3-2 victory over the defending World Series champions Astros as Yasmani Grandal hit a tying solo homer in the eighth and Andrew Vaughn a go-ahead two-run double in the ninth and the White Sox held on with the bullpen allowing one run in 2 2/3 innings. Lance Lynn is the starter for Chicago tonight and he comes off an 8-7 season with a 3.99 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. Cristian Javier goes for the Astros, who will try to avoid a World Series hangover and they lost several key performers from last year's squad, including Yuli Gurriel and Christian Vazquez. The White Sox won their opener despite going 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position, but the bullpen came through for them. Chicago is getting a good price again as a road underdog and play the White Sox.
