Chicago at Detroit

Chicago is making a run at the division title and can't afford many losses and it comes off an 8-2 win over Cleveland on Thursday while hitting five home runs and it was its sixth win in eight games. Meanwhile, Detroit's disastrous season continued as the Tigers lost their fourth straight and they have scored a total of only four runs in those four games. The Tigers look destined to finish last in their division and they have Matt Manning on the mound and he has been inconsistent or injured all season. Manning faced the White Sox once this year and gave up four runs on 10 hits in five innings. The Tigers are 30-43 at home and will face Lucas Giolito, who has pitched much better on the road this season. Chicago has won the last five meetings and eight of the past 10 and Detroit is 17-43 versus right-handed starters. Take the White Sox.
