David Holmberg gets a chance to start for the White Sox after pitching 14 1/3 innings out of the bullpen with a 2.51 ERA. Justin Verlander goes for the Tigers, and he comes off a heartbreaking 1-0 loss at Kansas City when he gave up just the run on six hits in seven innings. Verlander faced Chiacgo on Opening Day, and Detroit won 6-3 as he gave up two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings whith 10 strikeouts.  Verlander is 2-0 with a 1.61 ERA at home this season, and he allowed only six runs in 21 innings against the White Sox last year. The Tigers are 10-3-1 UNDER in Verlander's last 14 home starts and 25-11-2 UNDER in his last 38 starts overall, including 10-3-2 UNDER versus teams with losing records.
