The Tigers got a lift from Justin Verlander last night and pushed runs across against a recently hot Jake Peavy to get a 4-2 win. They will face an equal task against Chris Sale who has pitched equally well all season for the White Sox. The Tigers were expected to be amongst the elite in the American League this season, but haven't showed that potential until recently, as they are playing their best baseball of the season at 11-2 in their last 13 games. The offense has come alive over the 13-game stretch producing 5.5 runs per contest. The White Sox have had issues of late playing good teams on the road where they are 1-6 in their last seven on the road vs. a winning team. The Tigers have been feasting on good pitching as they are an amazing 22-6 in their last 28 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15, and they are red-hot at home where they are 9-1 in their last 10.
