The Chicago White Sox have packed in the season (wouldn't you?). Riding a nine-game skid. Young Andre Rienzo gets the start, his second in the big leagues, and Rienzo went just 8-6 with a 4.06 ERA at Triple-A Charlotte. The White Sox are 20-46 in their last 66 road games. While Chicago is a mess, the red hot Tigers have outscored their opponents 45-8 during their winning streak. The Tigers look to complete a three-game home sweep here, and Rick Porcello went 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA last month in large part because he had no problem handling the White Sox in wins on July 10 and July 23 – the latter of which contributed to the Tigers’ 11-1 mark over the last 12 games. Detroit, which has won seven in a row, has allowed one run or less in six of those contests. Detroit is 37-14 – including 21-5 at home – against the White Sox since Sept. 7, 2010. The Tigers are also 30-12 in Porcello's last 42 starts vs. a team with a losing record. Play the Tigers.
