The Indians were glad to get home, as they broke a four game losing streak, all on the road. The White Sox have decided to push Mark Buehrle back a day, and will give Clayton Richard the ball for this one. Richard has worked the entire season out of the bullpen and has not pitched more than three innings, and not effectively. The last six times he appeared were all in White Sox losses, a true indication he wasn't trusted coming out of the pen. Last season Richard had 12 appearances, eight as a starter and four out of the pen. He has been at his worst as a starter logging a 6.69 ERA. The Indians’ bats are starting to heat up. Jeremy Sowers did not pitch as bad as the numbers looked in his debut the last time out. He allowed just one run on four hits through five innings and ran out of gas. He certainly brings more to the table here than Richard, so I'll go with the Indians in this one.
