Chicago at Cleveland

Chicago is just 7-16 on the road and now the White Sox travel to face the Guardians, who are glad to be home after a rough road trip (1-5). The home side will send Hunter Gaddis to the mound for his fifth start of the season. Gaddis has shown flashes of becoming a good major league pitcher, such as when he shut out Oakland on one hit in six innings in early April before being sent down to Triple-A. He gets another chance now due to injuries in Cleveland's starting rotation. The White Sox just swept the Royals, which is no big achievement, and they still are nine games back in the AL Central with a 19-29 record. Chicago has lost 12 of its past 15 road games and they are 5-14 following a win. The Guardians lead the majors with 18 saves and the bullpen is T-7th with a 27% inherited-scored percentage.
