Chicago at Cleveland

The Cleveland Guardians have started the season at 8-2, and will host the Chicago White Sox who enter at 1-9. Cleveland took the series opener 4-0 to continue their torrid pitching which has now allowed just five total runs in their last five games. While those numbers will have a lot of bettors looking towards the Guardians, history has decided a different fate, as the lines get stretched out in anticipation of a public barrage on the favorite. A team that has allowed eight or fewer runs over its last five games actually has a -5% ROI in their next contest. While it doesn't look good for Chicago in this one, history has shown the line is overinflated. I will back the Chicago White Sox in this one.
