St. Louis goes for three in a row over the Cubs as Marcell Ozuna hit a grand slam and the Cardinals scored six runs in the first inning on Saturday. It was all they needed as they won 6-2. Chicago has lost four of its last six games while scoring a total of only 15 runs, and seven of those came in one game. The Cubs are 2-5 in Kyle Hendricks' last seven road starts, and he gave up three runs on seven hits in five innings while getting the loss against Arizona on Tuesday. The right-hander has a 4.70 ERA on the road, and in two appearances against the Cardinals this year he has allowed six runs on 16 hits in 10 2/3 innings. John Gant will make his eighth start for St. Louis, and he has allowed 21 earned runs in 55 innings with 46 strikeouts. Gant pitched five shutout innings against the Cubs this season.
