The Cubbies are 27-38 on the road and just can't score. St. Louis is 36-24 at home and they've found their offense, scoring 5.6 runs per game over their last seven games. They have always liked playing under the Sun as they are 34-14, scoring 5.5 runs per game in day games this season. The Cards shut out the Cubs last game behind the arm of Jeff Suppan. It only gets worse for Chicago here as they face Chris Carpenter. Carpenter is 12-6 (5-3 at home) with a 3.05 ERA (1.71 at home!). Throwing for Chicago is Rich Hill who is 0-4 on the road with an 11.09 ERA. Carpenter is 34-8 the past two seasons as a big favorite (-150 or more) so don't the the line scare you. He's also 26-4 coming off 5-6 days of rest as he is here and 35-6 over the past three seasons facing weak teams like the Cubs who have been outscored by 0.5+ runs per game. Cards to roll here.
