St. Louis is in a funk, losing four in a row and five of six. They were favored in every one of those games as part of a money-burning 4-13 run. Chicago gets a chance for a sweep, as St. Louis was shut out in the first game of the series and blew a two-run lead late in Saturday's 6-5 loss. St. Louis goes with 25-year old starter Joe Kelly, but he is 1-2 against the Cubs in 14 innings. The Cardinals are 0-9 in their last nine games as a favorite. Chicago has veteran Edwin Jackson, a good strikeout pitcher who has been throwing well of late. He went 5-2 with the Cardinals in 2011 and shut out his former club over seven innings on July 11. The Cubs are 6-1 in their last seven games as a road underdog and 6-2 in their last eight road games. Play the Cubs.
