The Chicago Cubs will not likely break their century long World Series drought this season, but they should fare a bit better than a year ago. They suffered a tough loss yesterday, taking a 4-0 lead into the 7th inning before Pittsburgh hung a 5 spot on them in the 7th for a 5-4 loss. Their best opportunity for wins will occur when Jeff Samardzija takes the mound, and he gets the ball today vs. St. Louis. Runs should certainly be at a premium today, which always gives the dog a fighting chance. The Cubs have been right there in a lot of games so far, and they do own a 4-1 record against the Cards in Samardzija's last five starts against them. Back the road team Cubs.
