The Chicago Cubs' ownership has sent the message to players that they have thrown in the towel this season. They dealt their top two players from a team lacking in talent to begin with. The rebuilding process has begun, although they never seem to get there. San Francisco came into the season without too many question marks in the rotation, but are now left with many, as the rotation has not lived up to the billing that crowned them champions a year ago. The one exception has been Madison Bumgarner at 10-6 with a 2.93 ERA. Bumgarner has not allowed more than 2 runs in any start over his last seven. The Cubs' 44-90 mark as a road dog in their last 134 is going to be sinking lower as the season progresses. Go with San Francisco.
