Both of these teams have gone a long time without winning, and the Cubs haven't made any progress to get things turned around. The Pirates, on the other hand, have more than turned the corner - they have become a playoffs-caliber team, as witnessed by their 27-18 record on the season. Oft-injured Francisco Liriano seems to be getting back to where he was, and is 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA on the season. This game should be won late with the Pirates' pen leading the league in strikeouts and getting it done every night, while the Cubs' pen continues to implode. The Cubs are just 12-40 in their last 52 as a road dog of +110 to +150, and simply lack competitiveness. The play is Pittsburgh on the runline.
