They will send Jason Hammel to the mound who has been a Pirates killer over his career, and already has beaten them twice in two tries this season. Hammel now owns a 4-1 career mark vs. Pittsburgh backed by a solid 3.67 ERA. Brandon Cumpton has really struggled as he enters with a 6.51 ERA on the season for Pittsburgh. The Cubs have been strong in anticipated low-scoring games at 6-1 in their last seven to a total of 7 to 8.5. The Pirates fail in game three of a series at just 9-25 in their last 34.
