The Chicago Cubs' futility has extended over a century without a World Series win. They certainly don't look to be a team that will be ending that drought anytime soon. As a result, they are typically an under-valued team by the oddsmakers. The Pirates took the opener in dramatic fashion with a Neil Walker 10th inning walk-off home run. Teams that win in walk-off fashion often struggle in their next game. Edwin Jackson lost 18 games a year ago, but pitched well against the Pirates. For his career, he owns a 6-2 record against them with a flashy 3.19 ERA. Charlie Morton certainly has not navigated this Cubs lineup very effectively in his career with a 2-4 mark, and a poor 4.91 ERA. The matchup favors the dog here, so go with the Cubs.
