Chicago at Oakland

This is the third straight road game for the Cubs out West, a big favorite again, but 21-21 their last 42 contests, mostly as chalk. Chicago righty Kyle Hendricks is great at home (1.19 ERA), but his ERA more than triples on the road (3.79 ERA) where he has allowed seven of his nine homers. He has also walked 22 batters in 50 road innings, a weak ratio. This is nothing new as the last three-plus years his ERA is over 4 away from home. Chicago is 2-6 his last eight road starts. Oakland plays its third straight at home, part of a 10-game homestand. Athletics' lefty Sean Manaea is throwing well with five starts since June 29 and a 3.62 ERA over that span. Manaea has fared well at home where he is 3-2 with a 3.39 ERA in 10 games (nine starts). And the Athletics are 24-9 in interleague home games vs. a team with a winning record. Play Oakland.
