The powerhouse Cubs are a big favorite again -- but just 20-21 the last 41 games. They were favored in all but two of those defeats, including once as -320 and seven times as -200 or bigger. The Cubs are on a 4-9 run on the road, including 2-7 away against a right-handed starter. Jake Arrieta goes here with the team 1-6 his last six starts, including 0-5 the last five. He suffered his third loss during the drought Saturday and has surrendered four or more runs in four of his previous five outings while failing to work more than six innings in six of his last eight starts. Arrieta has yet to defeat Oakland in his career, going 0-2 with a 4.61 ERA in three games (two starts). He throws best at Wrigley Field but his ERA goes up by almost two runs (3.66) on the road in 2016.
