The Brewers Chris Narveson opened the season allowing just 6 runs in his first four starts. He has pitched to a 4.45 ERA on the season, so after his great start, he is pitching to an ERA of 5. Ryan Dempster is of similar ilk for the season with an ERA of 5, but the difference here is that Dempster is a quality pitcher finding the magic once again, as he has allowed more than 3 runs in a start just once in his last eight starts, and the Cubs have won eight of them. This is the sweet spot for Dempster and the Cubs as they are 10-2 in his last 12 road starts with a total from 7-8.5. This situation has been a thorn for the Brewers who are 0-5 in their last five games with a total of 7-8.5. Chicago is a live dog here and gets the call.
