Cubs' lefty Jose Quintana is a 10-game winner and has been on a nice roll, allowing two or fewer runs in seven of his last 10 starts. The Cubs are 36-17 against a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and face a Kansas City squad that is a mess at 15-39 at home, ranked last in baseball in runs scored, #27 in on-base percentage, #28 in slugging, and last in team ERA (5.34). The Royals have lost six straight and are on a 0-10 run against southpaw starters. Kansas City's 24-year-old rookie Heath Fillmyer is making his fifth major-league start with only one quality start among them, walking 15 in 30 innings (43 base runners).
