Chicago southpaw Mike Montgomery is 2-0 with a 0.55 ERA in three games against the Royals, who drafted him in the first round in 2008. The Cubs are 35-17 against a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and face a Kansas City squad that is a mess at 15-38 at home, ranked last in baseball in runs scored, #27 in on-base percentage, last in team ERA (5.34). The Royals are on a 3-9 run, tied with Baltimore for the worst record in the majors. The Royals are also 11-42 against winning teams, plus 17-36 at home versus a left-handed starter. Take the Cubbies.
