Chicago at Houston

The road trek continues for Chicago on a 5-11 slide. The pitching has been mauled in the last two games, losing 11-1 and 16-3 at Minnesota. They could use a stopper but starter Jameson Taillon has a 6.41 ERA with batters hitting .280 off him. The Cubs have lost all five of his starts and are 4-11 in interleague road versus winning squads. Defending champion Houston has won four of five and ranks second in the big leagues in pitching ERA (3.29) and fifth in the bullpen. Framber Valdez (2.38 ERA) has a 2.32 ERA at home and the Astros are 106-53 against teams with a bullpen WHIP of 1.350 or better. Play Houston.
