Colorado won its third in a row last night with 7-6, 11-inning win over the Cubs. Jeff Hoffman is making his Major League debut for the Rockies after making 22 starts with a 4.02 ERA at Albuquerque in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Mike Montgomery will make only his third start of the season and first for Chicago. He is expected to pitch only a few innings before being relieved by probably Trevor Cahill. The left-hander was acquired from Seattle in late July. John Lackey has also been given some time off. The Rockies have a .790 OPS against left-handers and they lead the majors with an .890 OPS at home. Colorado has won 15 of the last 21 meetings at Coors Field. Play the home underdog Rockies.
