The Cubs are packing it in. They are heading towards their first losing season in five years and they are losing their manager. To add insult to injury, they are now without Ted Lilly and Ryan Theroit. After losing eight in a row, the Rockies have won three straight, pounding in 32 runs on 48 hits over the three games. That's not good news for Carlos Silva who has been pounded for 12 earned runs in his last three starts, lasting an average of just 2.4 innings per start. While they can't do much at all on the road, Colorado is formidable at home averaging 5.9 runs per game on way to a 34-18 record. The Cubs are just 21-43 dating back to last season as an underdog of +100 to +150. Colorado is 17-4 this season as a home favorite of -125 to -175. When facing a bad team like the Cubs (.460 or worse), De La Rosa is a perfect 10-0 the past two seasons. I like Colorado to get the win here.
