Chicago at Cincinnati

Chicago finally won a game after losing 12 straight, and the Cubs are now 3-15 since trading off their key players as they start to rebuild again. Look for the them to start losing again as they face Tyler Mahle today. Mahle is 10-3 with a 3.58 ERA, and Cincinnati has won four of his last five starts, including 6-1 over Pittsburgh on Friday when he allowed no runs on three hits in seven innings. Mahle faced the Cubs on July 28 and threw six scoreless innings on five hits. The Reds have won eight of the past 10 meetings and Adrian Sampson will make his first start since 2019 when he was with Texas. The Cubs have lost 38 of 51 as underdogs. Play the Reds.
