Chicago at Baltimore

Chicago squandered an eight-run lead before winning 9-8 Friday night, but its road record still is just 20-25 compared to Baltimore's home record of 25-17. Jake Arrieta is not the dominant pitcher he was a couple seasons ago as he has a current 8-7 record and 4.35 ERA. Arrieta gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits in 5 2/3 innings as the Cubs lost to Pittsburgh on July 8. The right-hander is 5-6 with a 4.52 ERA on the road and the Cubs have lost 12 of their last 14 games after a win. Wade Miley recorded his best start in a month in a 5-1 win over the Twins last Saturday when he allowed just one run in 5 2/3 innings. Miley has been a much better pitcher at home this season with a 3.60 ERA as opposed to 6.10 on the road. Chicago hitters that have faced him are batting just .196 against Miley and the Orioles have won six of his last eight interleague starts. Play the Orioles.
