Believe it or not, Tim Wakefield has the best ERA among the Red Sox five-man rotation, but what makes it better is that he is backed by the top bullpen in baseball. The Jays are mired in a deep funk right now, losers of nine straight games. Wakefield allowed just one run to them in eight innings this season already, and for his career a nifty 3.68 ERA. Casey Janssen has pitched OK in a limited role, but must note his 7.1 career innings vs. the Red Sox without allowing a single run. Red Sox’s bats are completely different on the road where they fall two full runs shy of their Fenway production. They drop from a Fenway-friendly 6.3 runs per game, to just 4.3 on the road. This one features two lineups underachieving right now, and two pitchers that have silenced the opponents’ bats over their careers, so I'll go with the UNDER here.
