The Toronto Blue Jays assaulted Ricky Porcello yesterday, and tonight they will go against Wade Miley. The Red Sox added both of those starters to their rotation this year, thinking they would anchor the staff, but they have not lived up to the billing. Miley is just 7-7 with a less than pedestrian 4.38 ERA. Toronto tagged him for a pair of HRs in his previous start against them. Matt Boyd should have the nerves settled as he makes his second big league start, and he made 14 minor league appearances this year while pitching to a 1.26 ERA. The Red Sox have been miserable vs. left-handed pitching where they own a 7-21 record in their last 28 against them. The Jays have been stellar after allowing two or fewer runs in their previous game, following by going 10-2 in their last 12. Back the home team.
