The Red Sox got a day off after getting rained out yesterday. 40-year-old slugger David Ortiz has already homered in each game and new first baseman Hanley Ramirez (.500) is playing well. Starter Joe Kelly started slow last year, but when he took a little off his fastball late in the year to focus on control and changing speeds, he took off like a rocket. Kelly ripped off eight wins in as many starts bridging August and September, including a win against Toronto when he scattered six hits and allowed one run while striking out five. The Blue Jays are just 3-7 vs. a right-handed starter. Despite being a last place team, Boston took 10 of the 19 meetings between the division rivals last season and is much better all-around in 2016. Back Boston.
