The Red Sox have the best starting rotation in baseball, and are odds-on favorites to win the AL. They also added a pair of star players in Crawford and Gonzlaez to fortify the lineup. There simply aren't any weaknesses here especially with Ellsbury healthy, patrolling centerfield. You have to give Jon Lackey a pass for a tough year, and would expect a big bounce back this season. Lackey has been brilliant vs. the AL West where he is 7-1 in his last eight. The Rangers have struggled vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of 1.15 or less, and Lackey qualifies in that regard over his career as they are just 1-7 in their last eight. Play Boston here.
