Boston at Tampa Bay

Scott Kazmir came through strong for the Devil Rays last night going deep and striking out 10 batters, allowing just two hits. That gave the D-Rays a big underdog win. Not twice in a row. Casey Fossum is not Scott Kazmir. And, Tampa must face Curt Schilling who is 10-2 on the season. The Red Sox are 13-1 this season as a favorite with him on the mound. Boston is struggling a bit offensively but in the Francona era, the Red Sox are 15-2 in games following a five-game span of hitting .225 or worse. Tampa Bay scores just 4.3 per game at home and 4.0 vs. right handers. Their bullpen has a 5.97 ERA at home. Home underdogs of +125 or more with a poor bullpen whose WHIP is 1.550 or worse on the season that has been uncharacteristically hot of late (ERA under 3.00 the last 10 games) are just 21-66 (24%) over the past decade.
