The Boston brass has flown to Seattle to apparently meet with Bobby Valentine, as the Sox’s season has been a horror show from start to finish. They dumped some quality players for a payroll deduction, and here we are in September and Boston is still looking for their first win on the West Coast. For some reason the books treat them as if they are still the power team from the last decade or so, but clearly that is not the case. At 3-12 in their last 15, with a team ERA over 7, this team is far from competitive. As a result, they are also not worthy of warranting favored status on the road. The Mariners are 15-7 in their last 22, and certainly have a better chance at finishing at .500 than Boston. Play on Seattle.
