Boston at Seattle

The Seattle Mariners have won 88 or more games in each of the past three seasons, but have made the playoffs just once. I think the Mariners will once again be in the mix this seasosn. They have named Luis Castilo as the Opening Day starter vs. Boston. Castillo hopes to pick up where he left off a year ago as the Mariners finished 10-2 in his last 12 starts. The Mariners were also 11-7 in his 18 home starts a year ago. Boston has high hopes for Brayan Bello. Bello has good stuff but has yet to find his groove at the MLB level where the Sox are 19-20 in his 39 career starts. One of the issues is in those 39 starts that Bello has made opponents have scored just shy of 5.0 runs per game. Boston has finished below .500 for two straight years, and prospects for this season don't look to be changed much. I like the pitching match up in this one and will make the play on the Seattle Mariners.
