The Boston Red Sox are well known for having one of the best hitting teams in baseball year after year. However, this year they may be as inept an offensive team we have seen in Boston in decades. Boston has now scored 3 runs or fewer in 11 of their last 12 games, and 2 runs or less in eight of them. Tonight, things won't get any easier as they square off against one of the best in Hisashi Iwakuma who owns a 3.04 ERA on the season, and those numbers are better at home at 2.64. Despite the 8 runs last night, Seattle is a struggling offense themselves, one which has scored 3 runs or fewer in 10 of their last 16 games. Boston is now 9-1 to the UNDER in their last 10 games after scoring 2 runs or less, and Seattle is 18-6 in Iwokuma's last 24 starts following a game where his team allowed 2 runs or less.
