Boston has won three straight after defeating the Padres 6-1 last night and the Red Sox have scored 27 runs their past three games. San Diego has lost eight of its past nine and now is only one game from last place in the NL West. The Padres have averaged just 2.44 runs their past nine games and will face Chris Sale tonight and he comes off three good outings, including eight innings against St. Louis last Saturday when he allowed only one run on three hits in eight innings. Joe Musgrove is off to a rough start this year as he owns a hefty 6.63 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in four starts and he gave up four runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings versus the Dodgers a week ago. The Padres are only 11-14 at home Boston is 25-20 on the run line, including 12-7 on the road. Go with the Red Sox on the run line as a Max Play.
