The Boston Red Sox have gone from World Champions to the worst in the AL East. They cashed in their chips prior to the trade deadline by dealing their top two starters in Lester and Lackey, and it now looks like David Ortiz may be out tonight as well. Pittsburgh is still fighting for a place in the playoffs, and have taken care of business in the first two in this series. Garrit Cole has missed some time this season, but the Pirates are 11-3 in his last 14 starts. Cole has only made eight starts the entire season vs. a losing team, and the Pirates are 6-2 in those eight games. Boston has a dismal 3-14 record in Workman's last 17 starts. In the role of a stopper, taking the hill after a team loss, they are 1-10 in their last 11. The Pirates have dominated AL teams as a favorite where they own a 21-6 mark in their last 27. Play on Pittsburgh.
