The New York Yankees have certainly had their chances in this series, but have come away empty by dropping the first two games in their four-game set with Boston. Last night they got 6 strong innings from Andy Pettitte, but their top weapons in the bullpen Logan, Robertson, and Rivera, were all unavailable from heavy recent use. They will have the full compliment available today. David Huff gets the call today and he has been a lift with a 2-0 record and a 3.32 ERA in pinstripes. He has a strong history against Boston where he has a stellar 1.62 ERA in four appearances, three of which were starts. Jon Lackey has come back strong after arm surgery, but the Yankees have a strong history against him, and have been swinging the bats well. Lackey has not fared well to high totals on the road, where Boston is just 5-15 in his last 20 to a total of 9 to 10.5. That has been the Yankees' strong point of late, now at 10-1 in their last 11 to the same total range. Take the Yankees.
