The Red Sox looked like they were about to turn the tables on their free-fall vs. the Yankees, but to no avail. Ace closer Johnathon Papelbon took the hill in the ninth, and coughed it up with a pair of 2-run homers, and the Yanks leave the Sox south of the .500 mark as we approach the quarter-pole of the 2010 season. Now they must regroup and face CC Sabathia, never an easy task, as they send Josh Beckett to the hill along with his 7.46 ERA. The Yankees really got in his head last time out as Beckett was walking, and hitting batters with the bases full, and the frustration was written all over him as he seemed to quit. He will be one A Rod, or Tex homer away from becoming unglued here. Beckett's last four outings reveal a lot of shortcomings, with a 10.48 ERA and what may have started as a mechanical flaw, has now become mental as well. The Yanks are inside his head, so I will go with the Bronx Bombers in this one.
